Looking at the article's history, those two paragraphs seem to have been added on 23/11/2012:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=524474313&oldid=524474172
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=524474172&oldid=524326276

I suppose the paragraphs may have been added and removed before, but a full investigation into the article's history would be required to establish this.

They were reverted by the Wikipedia user "Demiurge1000". The user's bio says that they spend "some time dealing with potential violations of our biographies of living people policy"

There are more revisions going on in the article as well. On 30/11/2012, this was added:

"Laud has known David and Samantha Cameron for more than 23 years and attended their wedding in Oxfordshire."

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=525673667&oldid=525671754

It was reverted by Wiki user "Stuartyeates" half an hour later.

Also, this revision was added on 02/12/2012, by someone else:

"Laud has recently been mentioned o the website www.davidicke.com in connection to a high profile pedophile ring in the UK involving television personalities and politicians. Other names mentioned were sir Jimmy Savile, lord McAlpine and MP Cyril Smith. As yet Laud has made no comment."

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=526009282&oldid=525778370

It was slightly altered by the same user a few minutes later to read:

"Laud has recently been mentioned on the website www.davidicke.com in connection to a high profile pedophile ring in the UK involving television personalities and politicians. Other names mentioned were sir Jimmy Savile, lord McAlpine and MP Cyril Smith."

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=526009965&oldid=526009856

This was removed less than an hour later by "Rangoon11":

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=526015440&oldid=526009965

An admin of Wikipedia, Tom Morris, then protected the Personal Life section a few hours afterwards:

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Derek_Laud&diff=526050926&oldid=526015440

The protection expires on 09/12/2012.

On the article's "Talk" page, there is an exchange between Wiki editors about certain information coming in from Twitter:

Scroll down to the bottom, "Information disputed by subject".

Has Derek Laud Been Unfriended ?

I only ask because his Wikipedia page has been edited.
On the 26th October I posted a tweet of his, here, and I copied and pasted directly from his Wikipedia page.
It used to read in the opening paragraph:
Laud is a long standing family friend of Samantha Cameron’s family and a personal friend of David Cameron and attended their wedding at Ginge, in Oxfordshire. He has a wide circle of friends in the celebrity, political and business communities.
But not anymore……….
It used to read under ‘Personal life’:
Laud has a wide circle of friends in the Conservative Party. The list of Tory friends with whom he is known to go on holiday and socialise with is illustrious, and includes Lord McAlpine, Peter Lilley and Michael Portillo.
But alas no longer.
I’m just curious. I wonder if a reader of this is also a Wikipedia editor and can find out when this was changed and by whom ?
